Saturday: Recharge those batteries
A day off today, and time to catch up on some shopping.
In Luton there’s a good mix - all the big high street names (under one roof in the recently refurbished Arndale Centre) as well as plenty of smaller, independent stores that reflect the town’s multicultural make up. And although the choice is wide, Luton’s a compact place too, making it easy to get around.
Later there’s a visit to the library with the kids - luckily just a short walk from home - and a quick run in the park, for a blast of clean, fresh air.
Then tonight, a treat. You’re off to London for dinner, followed by a trip to the theatre. An easy half an hour on the train, and although you don’t do it every week (there’s more than enough going on in Luton), it’s great to be able to splash out once in a while.
